Refund Policy
AdiByte Refund Policy
Effective date: July 20, 2026
This is a translation provided for convenience; the Korean version prevails.
AdiByte (the "Company") operates the following refund policy for paid credits and subscription services purchased by users, in accordance with applicable law โ including Korea's Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (the "E-Commerce Act"), the Content Industry Promotion Act, and the Guidelines for the Protection of Content Users โ and the policies of our payment processor, Paddle (Merchant of Record). This policy forms part of the Terms of Service.
Article 1 (Right of Withdrawal)
Under Article 17(1) of the E-Commerce Act, a user (consumer) may withdraw a purchase of paid credits, a subscription, or the like, without stating a reason, within 7 days from the payment date or from the date on which the contents of the contract can be confirmed.
Article 2 (Limits on Withdrawal for Digital Content โ Important)
- For the credits and subscriptions the Company provides, withdrawal is restricted for the portion once the provision of digital content such as conversations has begun (Article 17(2)5 of the E-Commerce Act).
- However, because the content provided by the Company is divisible by credit unit, withdrawal and refund remain available for the unused portion (unused credits) for which provision has not begun.
- Pursuant to Article 17(6) of the E-Commerce Act, the Company indicates, in a place where users can easily see it such as the payment screen, that withdrawal is restricted for the relevant digital content, and ensures that the exercise of the right of withdrawal for unused portions is not obstructed.
Article 3 (Refund of Unused Paid Credits)
Paid credits that a user has not used at all after purchase will be fully refunded upon a withdrawal request made within 7 days of the purchase date. Even after 7 days have passed, the Company will review requests to refund unused credits to the extent not contrary to the Terms of Service and applicable law.
Article 4 (Refund of Partially Used Credits)
If a portion of purchased credits has already been used (provision of conversations begun), the portion corresponding to the credits already used and deducted is not refunded because withdrawal is restricted under Article 2, and the amount corresponding to the unused remaining credits for which provision has not begun will be refunded.
Article 5 (Credits Granted Free of Charge)
Credits and benefits granted free of charge โ such as the sign-up bonus, the free trial (e.g., 11 free conversations over 3 days), and those granted through events or promotions โ are not purchased for a fee and are therefore not eligible for refund and are excluded when calculating refund amounts.
Article 6 (Cancellation and Refund of Subscriptions)
- A subscription may be cancelled at any time; upon cancellation, billing stops from the next billing date. The user may continue to use the Service for the remainder of the period already paid for.
- A full refund of the current month's payment will be issued only if the request is made within 7 days of the subscription payment date and none of the credits or paid features granted by that payment have been used.
- If more than 7 days have passed since the subscription payment date, or if any part of the granted credits has been used (provision of conversations begun), the request will be handled in accordance with Articles 2 and 4. That is, withdrawal is restricted for the portion already used, and if there is an unused remainder, the corresponding amount will be refunded.
Article 7 (Cases Where Refunds Are Restricted)
Due to the nature of the AI persona chat service, conversations that have already been provided (digital content corresponding to credits already used and deducted) cannot be restored by their nature and are excluded from withdrawal and refund under Article 17(2) of the E-Commerce Act. In addition, where use has been restricted due to a cause attributable to the user, such as a violation of the Terms, the Company may restrict refunds to the extent permitted by applicable law.
In accordance with the above principle, the Company does not refund credits that a user has actually used, and processes refunds under this policy only for the unused remainder. Where the Service was not properly provided due to a cause attributable to the Company (such as a service failure), the Company will take necessary measures, including refunds, in accordance with applicable law.
Article 8 (Refund Procedure and Processing Time)
- Refund request: Submit a refund request through the contact channel (email) below, including payment details such as the payment date/time, payment method, and order number.
- Processing method: All payments are processed through Paddle (Merchant of Record), and refunds are likewise issued through Paddle to the original payment method.
- Processing time: Pursuant to Article 18 of the E-Commerce Act, the Company begins the refund process within 3 business days of receiving a legitimate withdrawal request; depending on the processing procedures of the payment processor and card issuer, it typically takes about 5 to 10 business days for the refund to actually appear to the user.
Article 9 (Refund Inquiries)
Article 10 (Changes to This Policy)

This policy may be changed as required by applicable Korean law or business operations, and any changes will be announced in advance, together with their effective date, through notices within the Service.
